We’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about how you can help support the thrift store. Here are a few quick ways that you can lend your support:

#1. Shop the Store

One of the best ways to support the thrift store and Catholic Social Services of Augusta’s mission is to shop at the store! For over thirty years, the store has been one of Augusta’s best-kept secrets — with unique items, great deals, and exciting finds around every corner.

When you shop at the store, you’ll find a full range of products — from men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing to household items, furniture, books, toys, and more. We also have our “Boutique” section of the store, which features antiques, collectibles, memorabilia, and other high-end pieces.

Because we receive donations daily, you’ll want to check back often for new merchandise!

#2. Donate Your Gently-Used Goods

Donations of your gently-used goods fuel the thrift store and are how we’re able to support Catholic Social Services of Augusta’s main office in their mission to help those in need in the CSRA and beyond. All proceeds from the thrift store go directly to providing emergency assistance to poor, homeless, and at-risk individuals.

We accept donations during business hours (Monday - Saturday, from 8am to 6pm) at our new store — located at 3229 Wrightsboro Road, behind CVS and LuLu’s Carwash. There is a “carpool lane” for easy drive-up access along the side of the building. Feel free to ring the bell and our team will be happy to unload the donations for you!

We do offer a pick-up service for furniture donations only. You can complete this form to schedule a furniture pick-up or call the store directly at 706-737-2886.

All donations are tax-deductible.

#3. Make a Monetary Donation

If your means allow, we also accept monetary donations. Should you be inclined to make a monetary donation, they can be mailed to the main office (address below) or brought to the thrift store directly.

#4. Volunteer Your Time and Talent

We are always looking for volunteers who wish to share their time and talent with us at the thrift store. Volunteering is not only a great way to give back, but to also make new friends. Many of our thrift store volunteers have been volunteering for years. In fact, Mrs. Laura has been with us for nearly 25 years now

If you’re interested in volunteering at the thrift store, please complete the volunteer application below and our volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you.

#5. Spread the Word

Last, but certainly not least, you can support the thrift store by spreading the word. With the opening of our new store, we also took the leap into social media and to the Internet with a brand new website. We would be so happy if you’d share the news with your colleagues, friends, and family.

We thank all of you for your support of the thrift store and the Catholic Social Services of Augusta mission! Without our amazing staff, volunteers, friends, and families — none of this would be possible.
